This is not elegant by any means but is performing the function I need. For years (with a white tile floor) we've had dogs of various sizes and ages. The older dogs got to the point where anything on the floor was considered a pee pad and all area rugs, etc had to be removed. Our pack is down to three large dogs who use the doggy door after romping outside, often in mud. By the time the dogs get from the doggie door, through the utility room, and into the kitchen, most of the dirt from their paws has come off onto the 10 foot runner. Takes about 30 seconds to vac; haven't needed any further cleaning yet. Just ordered a second for the hallway leading into the living and bedroom area. Highly recommend!
