Built a new home in 2009 and have three of these fixtures over the garage doors. In attempting to replace the bulbs in all fixtures with led bulbs, we were unable to remove a bulb from one of the fixtures and actually stripped out the receptacle the bulb screws into trying to remove the old bulb. I do not feel it was a manufacture defect, but rather the electrician screwed in the original bulb too tight. There was no evidence of water or other environmental factors that "fused" the bulb into the socket. Anyway, we were ecstatic to find this replacement fixture on amazon.com and not have to replace all three fixtures. We love the look of these fixtures and the new LED bulbs put out a lot of light. Because of the frosted glass on the fixtures the light is bright but soft. One of the things I love about these fixtures is the frosted glass, when you look at the light it is not harsh because you are not looking directly at the bulb. My old fixtures had faded a little and all I had to do was use some Rust-Oleum old rubbed bronze paint Rust-Oleum 254101 Painters Touch Quart Oil Based, Metallic Oil-Rubbed Bronze and they were as good as new - can't tell the old fixture from the new.
